Several houses were hit and partly destroyed by violent winds. The tornado was classified as a T4 category, which corresponds to winds blowing between 185 and 220 km/h. A brutal phenomenon but not exceptional since the Organization of Research on tornadoes and storms counts an average of 33 tornadoes each year in Great Britain.
