
While virus H5N1 made its reappearance in Europe since last week in Hungary and then in Great Britain, the Australian laboratory CSL Ltd announced that following success of clinical trials, it could produce vaccines against the avian flu for all 20 million inhabitants of Australia within 6 months. On the other hand, the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline Plc placed a patent application in Europe for their own vaccine against avian flu, after having obtained 80% of success in his clinical trials.
