The 11the edition of the Robocup was organized in Atlanta, Georgia in the USA. Since 1996, the RoboCup presents a places where teams of robots battle each year during the Football matches. The goal is to create, from here to 2050, human machines "able to beat the champion team of world football." The event makes it possible to instigate the search on autonomous robotics and for artificial intelligence. This year NimbRo, the German team of the University of Freiburg, finally beat the Japanese from TEAM Osaka, champions of the two last competitions, with a score of 8-6.
